Nathan stated that so far he hadn't read anything that is similar to what he is reading now. Alex said that he hadn't read anything similar to what he is reading either. I said that for as far as I haven't read anything else similar.
What are some major themes of this book?
Nathan said that in his book, "A Time to Kill" one of the major themes so far is that "You never win when you break the law." Alex said that in his book, "Catcher in the Rye", one of the major themes is acceptance. In my book, "To Kill a Mockingbird" one of the mejor themes is prejudice.
What do you think the author was trying to accomplish?
Nathan said that in his book, the author is trying to show that rape is very bad and you shouldn't do it. Alex said that in his book that the author is trying to tell a story. In my book the author is trying to tell a story about a young girl growing up in the depression era.

Nathan said that he was concerned about what is going to happen in the book. Alex said that he was concerned about how the book is going to end. I said that I was concerned about what the ending is going to be like and if I'll like how it ends.
